Facebook to allow content creators make money from short videos
Facebook announced Thursday would encourage content creators on its website to earn money from short-form videos from advertising.
The announcement was made in a blog where the company outlined its ambitions to help the developers make more money, while smaller tech competitors raced to recruit prominent social media figures.
Facebook said developers can now receive ad revenue from videos as brief as one minute, down from three minutes ago.
The social media giant announced it will also donate $7 million to free Facebook Stars, which people will pay to Facebook Live makers as a means of tipping.
